Croatian police face criticism after throwing dog from boat

Croatian police officers are facing criticism after video footage emerged showing them throwing a dog from a police boat into the sea near the island of Pašman. The incident occurred during an intervention involving a 37-year-old man who was wanted for crimes against the family.

According to reports, the man resisted arrest and jumped into the water with his dog, reportedly mistreating the animal during the struggle. After the man was pulled onto the police vessel and restrained, the dog jumped onto the deck, at which point officers threw it overboard. Police stated the action was taken to ensure the safety of the people and the vessel.
