Croatian police find two stolen jet skis in Šibenik, worth €220,000

The police forces of Šibenik, assisted by officers from Split, recovered two high‑value jet skis that had been stolen in Sweden in 2023 and 2025. The vessels, valued at around €220,000, were found with forged identification marks.

Investigators said the successful locate was aided by knowledge and contacts gained at an international anti‑theft training held in May 2026 in Split. The three‑day course, organized by Frontex and attended by police, customs and port officials from several EU countries, included specialised German officers on vessel‑theft investigations. The police chief highlighted the episode as a clear example of the benefits of continued cross‑border cooperation.
