Croatian Postal Bank issues first €150 million international bond on Luxembourg exchange

Croatian Postal Bank (HPB) successfully issued its first international bond, a €150 million instrument with a 4.125 % coupon and a maturity date of 13 July 2026. The bond was listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) under the EURO MTF market.

The primary purpose of the issue is to satisfy regulatory capital requirements under the Minimum Requirement for own funds and Eligible Liabilities (MREL). The offering was fully subscribed by institutional investors from the European Union and the United Kingdom, which the bank says demonstrates strong confidence from developed markets.

HPB’s Managing Director Marko Badurina described the listing as a historic milestone, stating: “Uvrštenje HPB obveznice na Luksemburšku burzu predstavlja povijesni trenutak za Banku, koja se po prvi put pojavljuje na međunarodnom tržištu kapitala kao izdavatelj dužničkog instrumenta…”. The issuance also supports the bank’s strategy to diversify its funding sources and enhance the long‑term stability of its balance sheet, while benefiting from a favorable Moody’s credit rating.

The bond is intended to meet MREL obligations and to reinforce HPB’s visibility among the international investment community.
