Croatian publications celebrate major anniversaries

Two Croatian publications are marking significant milestones. The city newspaper ‘Opatija’ is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a public event at the Opatija market on October 23. The celebration will feature an exhibition of old issues, music by Dražen Turina Šajeta, and traditional food provided by the Catering School. A special jubilee publication documenting the history of the newspaper and its staff will be distributed to attendees.

Additionally, the magazine ‘Zagreb moj grad’ celebrated its 20th anniversary and its 100th issue at the Croatian National Theatre (HNK). The event included speeches from various cultural figures, including Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen Koržinek, and featured a film with contributions from writers, architects, and historians. The magazine, which began publication in 2007, covers topics ranging from economy and tourism to history and culture in the capital city.
