Croatian Rafale jets conduct aerial refueling training with German Luftwaffe

Croatian Rafale fighter jets from the 191st Fighter Squadron are conducting advanced aerial refueling training over the Slavonia region. The operation involves cooperation with the German Luftwaffe, utilizing an Airbus A400M transport aircraft acting as a tanker to provide fuel mid-flight.

The training takes place at altitudes of approximately 7,000 meters and speeds of about 500 kilometers per hour. This exercise establishes a new operational capability for the Croatian Air Force, allowing Rafale pilots to achieve greater flight range and extended time on station without returning to base.

Beyond technical skill, the joint maneuvers aim to improve communication, coordination, and procedural interoperability between Croatian and German crews within the NATO framework.
