Croatian regions secure €28 million in loans for schools, sports halls and senior centre

The Karlovačka County, the town of Pleternica and the municipalities of Župa Dubrovacka, Bilje and Konavle have received approval from the Croatian government to borrow a total of about €28 million from banks, mainly the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR). The funding will be used for capital projects such as reconstructing primary schools and adding small sports halls, building new school sports facilities in Belaj, Jarče Polje, Zagorje and other locations, and constructing a senior centre in Pleternica. Smaller loans are earmarked for buying property and equipment in Župa Dubrovacka and for building sports fields and facilities for the Boćarskog doma Dubravka in Konavle. Loan terms include fixed interest rates between 2.85% and 3.17% and repayment periods of 7 to 15 years, with most loans structured in equal quarterly or monthly installments.
