Croatian SDP leader Siniša Hajdaš Dončić outlines party agenda as Dubrovnik mayor calls for public confrontation

Dubrovnik mayor Mato Franković publicly invited SDP president Siniša Hajdaš Dončić to a face‑to‑face meeting in Dubrovnik, accusing him of wrongdoing over the concession of the Marina Gruž, the management of the Pelješki bridge project and the alleged loss of EU funds for the Dubrovnik airport.

In separate statements, Hajdaš Dončić said the Social Democratic Party has moved from being "an administrator of nostalgia" to a "creator and visionary of the future." He highlighted the party’s recent focus on shortening the work week, new industrial policy, pre‑carriage (prekarijat) and tax reform, and expressed confidence that these topics will soon be debated in the Croatian Parliament. The SDP leader also announced progress in its coalition talks with Možemo!, expecting a coalition agreement shortly, and raised concerns about public health, noting that Croatian citizens die three years earlier than the EU average due to long waiting lists for medical care.
