Croatian sports leaders attended the ‘Croatia-USA in Sports: Where History Meets Greatness’ event in Washington, D.C. Organized by the Croatian Embassy in the United States to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence, the gathering focused on strengthening sporting ties between the two nations.

A key objective of the event was preparing for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Discussions included potential partnerships and the development of sports cooperation, with Croatian Volleyball Federation President Frane Žanić noting ongoing negotiations with the Association of Croatian American Professionals (ACAP) to create new opportunities for Croatian volleyball in the US market.

Participants included high-ranking officials from the Croatian Olympic Committee, the Croatian Basketball Federation, and various other sports organizations, alongside prominent athletes and members of the Croatian-American community.
