Traditional Folk Festivals Celebrated Across Croatia and Serbia

In Ivanovec, Croatia, the annual Vanovsko proščenje gathered large crowds despite high summer temperatures. The program featured folk singing, sports games, a barbecue, and a live screening of a Croatia‑Ghana football match. Local officials, including the mayor of Čakovci and the Međimurje county prefect, opened the event and praised community spirit.
