Croatian towns launch €3‑plus million infrastructure upgrades

In Županja, local authorities are executing capital projects worth over €3 million, with 50‑90% of funding coming from EU and national sources. The works include a new kindergarten, a complete reconstruction of Vinkovačka Street, new bicycle infrastructure on Braće Radića Street, expansions to the fire station and the construction of new playgrounds.

Garešnica has completed a €3.2 million revamp of its town centre, unveiling a flat, modern square with a dedicated bicycle lane, upgraded lighting, security cameras, and refreshed public amenities. The project also restored a commemorative fountain and added new street furniture and trees.

Vukovar‑Srijemska County approved a development loan of €9.95 million from HBOR and secured €18.5 million in EU grants to fund more than €30 million of capital projects. The programme targets economic and agricultural revitalisation, as well as the upgrade of social and sports facilities, including school expansions, a new elder‑care home extension, and a revitalisation programme for apple production.
