Croatian towns launch summer sports, culture and marine sustainability programs

In May 2026 the ReSea project organized three workshops in Poreč where local sports clubs – swimming, underwater activities, sport fishing and sailing – discussed marine protection, climate change and sustainable use of the Adriatic. Participants produced concrete actions such as beach clean‑ups and a recycling initiative for the Poreč dolphin swim event.

The municipality of Prelog and the Croatian Outdoors association continued their water‑sport programme with open‑door days at Marina Prelog, offering free kayaking, canoeing, SUP and dragon‑boat trials and promoting safe water activities for families.

The Dubrovnik Centre for Children, Youth and Family announced more than 50 summer activities, including drama workshops, a plastic‑recycling session for school‑aged children, and hands‑on art and pottery classes.

Buzet’s public open school prepared a summer cultural schedule featuring concerts by the Istrian Chamber Orchestra, theatre performances, film screenings in the renovated town hall and children’s workshops.

Fužine’s July calendar listed a week of events such as cave tours, a STEM picnic, a fruit‑festival, the Cinehill Film Festival and a SUP regatta, highlighting the town’s role as a regional summer destination.
