Croatian towns showcase local art exhibitions in Sisak and Marija Bistrica

The National Library "Vlado Gotovac" in Sisak hosted the exhibition "Između sna i jave" by artist Marijana Petrović Mikulić from 10 June to 30 June 2026. The show featured 100 × 100 cm acrylic paintings of local parks, presented in the library’s former vault and accompanied by opening remarks from library director Dragana Čubrilo‑Bila and other cultural figures.

In Marija Bistrica, the municipal library opened the exhibition "Bračni portreti iz Marije Bistrice" on 3 July 2026. Organized by the association Udruga Stav and funded by Krapinsko‑zagorska County, it displays preserved marital photographs from the first half of the 20th century, highlighting the region’s family history and traditions. The opening featured live music, a staged traditional wedding, and speeches from the exhibition curators.
