Croatian university futsal squads capture gold at European University Games

Men's and women's university futsal teams from Croatia won their first European titles at the European University Games in Salerno. The University of Split men's side defeated the defending champions from Azerbaijan 4‑2 in the final, while the University of Zagreb women beat Portugal's Aveiro University 4‑1 to claim gold. Both squads also secured additional medals, with Zagreb taking bronze in the men's competition.

Individual accolades were handed out as well. Ante Crnjac of Split was named the tournament’s best player, goalkeeper Roko Marin Stojkić earned best goalkeeper honors, and several players from both universities were selected for the tournament’s best‑five teams.
