Croatia’s coastal towns roll out summer marine gastronomy events
The Martinis Marchi venue in Split continues its weekend "Sunset Saturday" concept by offering a boat‑served dinner on the island of Šolta. Departures leave Split at 18:30 from the hotel Ambasador, include a three‑course menu of seasonal fish or meat dishes with wine pairings, a tour of the historic Martinis Marchi castle and private library, and return around 23:30. The full package costs 155 € per person.
The municipality of Starigrad, together with its tourist board, is organizing a series of marine‑heritage food events under the EU‑funded "Okusi baštinu" project. Running from April to September, the program features tastings of local seafood such as squid, shellfish and traditional fish dishes, with events on 25 July, 4 August, 6 August, 8 September and others, and includes chef Renata Kraljević’s participation. The project receives financing from the European Union’s LAGUR fishing and aquaculture programme.
