Croatia's film fund denies Vukovar movie, allocates €950,000 to 'Svadba 2
The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) did not grant production funding to the feature film “Vukovar,” allocating only €6,000 for script development. In contrast, the sequel “Svadba 2,” a Croatian‑Serbian co‑production directed by Igor Šeregija, received nearly €950,000 for production.
Party DOMiNO leader Mario Radić criticized the decision, saying it shows a flawed cultural‑policy priority system. Radić called for transparency on how public funds are split between Croatia and Serbia for “Svadba 2” and demanded that projects dealing with Vukovar’s historic significance receive appropriate support.
