European summer travel surge: Croatia's Dalmatinska Marenda, Krk Island, and Sintra draw tourists

Its easy bridge connection to the mainland makes it reachable within 30 minutes from Rijeka airport.

The Šibenska rivijera, spanning the archipelago between Kornati and Krk, is described as a nautical paradise that generates a quarter of Croatia’s total nautical‑tourism revenue, offering more than 200 islands, safe harbors and historic sites like the UNESCO‑listed St. Nicholas Fortress.
