Croatian Minister Branko Bačić Allocates €10.6 million for Green Projects in Sisačko‑Moslavačka and Istria

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property Branko Bačić visited Novska in Sisačko‑Moslavačka County and the Istrian towns of Bale, Marčana and Rovinj to hand over contracts for green urban‑infrastructure projects. In Sisačko‑Moslavačka a total of €10.6 million in grant funding was awarded for new parks, tree planting, bike lanes, rain‑gardens and other sustainable amenities. Bačić noted, "In the reconstruction of the county about two billion euros have already been invested," highlighting the broader post‑war and post‑earthquake rebuilding effort.

In Istria three contracts were signed: €3.85 million for Bale, €1.69 million for Marčana and €4.33 million for the renovation of Rovinj’s "Zlatni Rt – Punta Corrente" park forest. The projects are part of the "Development of Green Infrastructure in Urban Areas" call under the Competitiveness and Cohesion 2021‑2027 programme, which has allocated €131 million across 72 decisions. Bačić also discussed affordable‑housing measures, noting the state plans to build or refurbish 20,200 homes by 2030 with roughly €2 billion in funding.
