Croatia's Novi Marof and Bosnia's youth bodies launch calls for youth participation

The City of Novi Marof in Croatia issued a public invitation for candidates aged 15‑30 to join the new term of its Youth Council, a body that advises the city council on policies affecting young residents. Mayor Siniša Jenkač urged youngsters to apply, stating, “We want to hear the voice of youth and involve them in decision‑making processes that shape life in our city.” Applications must be submitted by 11 August 2026.

The Council of Youth (CMJ) forwarded a call to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Youth Foundation for ad‑hoc youth initiatives titled “Living and Building Democracy.” The grant programme, open from late July 2026 with a deadline of 1 September 2026, seeks projects that promote democratic culture, critical thinking, digital engagement and human‑rights awareness among young people, addressing challenges such as disinformation and voting barriers.
