Šibenik Dance Festival showcases 300 artists from 12 nations

The 15th Šibenik Dance Festival took place from 13 to 18 July 2026 in Šibenik and, for the first time, in the nearby town of Vodice. More than 300 dancers, choreographers and other artists from 12 countries performed on streets, forts and venues, offering dozens of concerts, workshops and professional forums.

Artistic director Zorana Mihelčić called the edition the most successful to date, noting growing audience support and the festival’s expansion to Vodice as evidence of its continued growth. The event also provided emerging dancers the chance to present work to renowned choreographers and to exchange experience with peers from around the world, reinforcing the festival’s role as a key platform for contemporary dance in Croatia and Europe.
