Croatia’s Suhopolje and Malinska host summer cultural festivals
The town of Suhopolje opened its 2026 "Grofove kočije" cultural summer with a range of activities for all ages on June 26, including a children’s workshop on forest pedagogy, a folk choreography competition, and a tambura evening featuring local groups and the vocal ensemble Contesse. Municipal officials highlighted the community’s volunteer‑driven cultural life.
In Malinska, the annual BeerFest kicked off the tourist season with craft‑beer tasting sessions led by brewmaster Ugo Stegnjajić, live music from local DJs, and a live broadcast of the Croatia‑Ghana football match. The festival, now in its ninth year, drew growing visitor numbers and plans a special commemorative brew for its upcoming tenth edition.
