Croce Gialla medical service to end at Ancona Port

The Croce Gialla di Ancona is concluding its medical assistance service at the Ancona International Port maritime station on August 31. The service, requested by the Port Authority, began on July 1 and provided daily ambulance coverage between 10:00 and 17:00.

Andrea Grassini, president of the Croce Gialla di Ancona, reported numerous interventions during the two-month period. These included treating heat-related illnesses, medical emergencies on arriving ferries, and accidental injuries, such as a severe ankle sprain. The station also served as an information point for passengers and provided assistance to individuals with mobility difficulties.

The presence at the Mandracchio terminal area also supported the 118 emergency operations center, which utilized the Croce Gialla resources to respond to various calls, including medical emergencies in industrial warehouses, truck parking areas, and on fishing vessels.
