D11 Highway Narrowed Near Prague Until August 10
The D11 motorway linking Prague and Hradec Králové will be reduced to a single lane in both directions between the 25‑km and 35‑km markers. Work began on 5 August and is scheduled to finish by 10 August at 05:00. Drivers are advised to use the auxiliary lanes and, if possible, travel during night hours to avoid peak‑hour congestion. The restriction affects the stretch near Poděbrady, with the northbound lane narrowed from kilometre 35.3 to 25.1 and the southbound lane from 24.9 to 35.1. The Czech Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) has not provided a detour, but the road remains open and signage will guide motorists. The works are part of the first stage of a larger construction project and are expected to cause notable delays during the busy summer travel period.
