Cronos (CRO) price declines ahead of scheduled token release

Cronos (CRO) has experienced a price decline, trading near the $0.056 level as of October 22. The token is down approximately 3.6% to 4% over a 24-hour period, retreating from recent recovery attempts near the $0.060 resistance level.

Market data indicates that a scheduled release from the Cronos Strategic Reserve is approaching. Following an unlock of approximately 1.2 billion CRO on October 17, which represented about 2.3% of the circulating supply, another installment of a similar size is expected around November 16.

A 2025 governance proposal established a 70 billion CRO strategic reserve under a five-year lockup, with installments released at roughly 30-day intervals. While these unlocks increase the available supply, analysts note that token vesting does not inherently guarantee immediate selling by holders.
