Crookwell caravan park receives six new cabins via Transgrid funding

Six new prefabricated cabins are being installed at the Crookwell caravan park in the Upper Lachlan Shire to boost local tourist accommodation. The project is funded through Transgrid’s community investment for the HumeLink East program.

The cabins, constructed in Armidale, NSW, feature one and two-bedroom configurations. They are intended to serve a dual purpose: providing housing for the HumeLink East workforce during the construction period and offering long-term rental or tourist accommodation once the project is complete.

Project leaders noted that the initiative is a result of collaboration between Transgrid, the HumeLink East project team, and the Upper Lachlan Shire Council. The investment is expected to provide a new income stream for the council and support regional tourism sustainability.
