Cross Okonkwo reports robbery by street beggar in Lekki

Reality TV star Cross Okonkwo reported being robbed by a street beggar while driving in the Ikate area of Lekki, Lagos. The former Big Brother Naija contestant stated that several beggars approached his vehicle while he was stuck in traffic.

According to Okonkwo, after he declined to give money to one individual, the person allegedly vandalized his vehicle by ripping off the windshield seal and fleeing with it. Okonkwo attempted to pursue the suspect but was unable to catch them.

Following the incident, Okonkwo expressed frustration on social media regarding public safety in Nigeria and questioned why street beggars are permitted to operate in such a manner in Lagos. He called on the Federal Government to address the security concerns raised by such incidents.
