Cross River Governor Bassey Otu receives support during solidarity march

A large-scale solidarity march, described as a ‘one million-man march’, was held in Calabar to support the administration of Cross River State Governor Bassey Edet Otu. Organized by the Nigeria Bloggers Forum Association, the procession moved from Parklane and Millennium Park toward the State Government House.

Participants, including various APC support groups, gathered to commend the governor’s governance and express support ahead of the 2027 elections. Notable attendee Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, known as Phyna, a winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, participated in the event. She encouraged citizens to apply the same energy used to criticize bad governance toward acknowledging and motivating leaders who are performing well.

Governor Otu received the participants at the Government House, expressing appreciation for the demonstration of support. He stated that the gesture would encourage his administration to remain focused on its development programs and initiatives for the residents of Cross River State.
