Crosstown Brewing Co. closes after nearly nine years
Crosstown Brewing Co. has officially closed its taproom located next to the Crosstown Concourse in Memphis. The brewery held its final day of operations on October 15, 2026, with the taproom closing at 9 p.m. local time.
Co-founder Will Goodwin cited inflation, declining sales, and changing consumer habits—specifically a trend of younger generations consuming less alcohol—as the primary reasons for the closure, describing the decision as a “necessity.”
Since opening around February 2018, the brewery expanded its distribution across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. In 2024, the company added a full kitchen to its taproom to diversify revenue streams. Most of the brewery’s approximately 20 employees have reportedly transitioned to new employment.
