Croteam and Devolver Digital announce Serious Sam: The Third Encounter

Croteam and Devolver Digital have announced the development of Serious Sam: The Third Encounter, a new entry in the cult-classic first-person shooter series. The game is currently in development for PC via Steam.

Positioned as a direct narrative sequel to Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, the title aims to return to the series' roots of arcade-style FPS action. The gameplay will feature large-scale horde shooting, massive enemies, and heavy weaponry as the protagonist, Sam, continues his battle against the antagonist Mental.

The game will include both single-player and full co-op modes, set across new alien worlds featuring updated art styles and intense combat scenarios.
