Crotone Coast Guard sees leadership change as Pasquale Mazza takes command

Captain Pasquale Mazza has officially assumed command of the Crotone Coast Guard, succeeding Captain Domenico Morello. The handover ceremony took place at the military square of the Crotone maritime presidium and was attended by Rear Admiral Giuseppe Sciarrone, the maritime director for the Tyrrhenian Calabria and Basilicata regions.

Outgoing commander Morello highlighted the human commitment of his staff during his three-year tenure, noting that the team successfully rescued 225 people. Mazza, a native of Crotone, expressed that while he is returning to his home city after eight years of service in other territories, he recognizes the increased responsibility that comes with this role.
