Naples authorities conduct anti-mafia inspection at metro construction site

The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has ordered an anti-mafia inspection at the construction site for Metro Line 1, specifically the section between Centro Direzionale and Capodichino. The operation aims to prevent organized crime influence and ensure compliance with workplace safety and labor regulations.

Coordinated by the Direzione Investigativa Antimafia, the inspection involved the State Police, the Labor Inspectorate, and the Public Works Superintendency. Authorities inspected 14 companies, 64 individuals, and 46 vehicles across two different tender areas. The inspection was conducted in the presence of delegates from 11 foreign countries who were participating in an international workshop hosted by the European Network on the Administrative Approach.
