Crotone leaders meet regional agriculture minister to boost local farms

Municipal assessor for productive activities Giovanna Lamanna and regional agriculture assessor Gianluca Gallo met at the Cittadella Regionale in Crotone. The discussion focused on promoting the territory’s typical agri‑food products, especially organic and bio‑certified productions, as a strategic tool for regional identity and market expansion.

Lamanna presented a technical study highlighting that many Crotonian farms are not recognised as operating in a disadvantaged area, limiting their access to financial support. Gallo expressed willingness to examine the reclassification request and to work with local offices on possible solutions, reaffirming the regional commitment to strengthen the agricultural sector and overall economic competitiveness of the area.
