Crotone to assess seismic risk in nine schools

The municipality of Crotone has approved a resolution to assess seismic risk in nine local school buildings. The initiative aims to obtain a detailed understanding of the geometric and structural characteristics of the facilities through specialized surveys, measurements, and investigations to determine their vulnerability and safety levels.

The project will be funded by resources from a development agreement with ENI S.p.A. The assessments will follow the 2018 Technical Standards for Construction and will include the analysis of technical documentation followed by detailed geometric and structural surveys using methods such as thermographic and magnetometric investigations. The schools involved include several elementary, middle, and nursery schools across the city.
