Crotone to host ACT EJUSTICE seminar on social theatre and environmental justice

A theoretical and practical seminar titled ‘ACT EJUSTICE. Social Theatre as a Community Resource for Environmental Justice’ will be held in Crotone on October 6 and 7, 2026. The event is hosted at the Pertini Santoni IIS Library.

Organized by the University of Pavia and the Higher Institute of Health (Istituto Superiore di Sanità), the seminar focuses on environmental justice, social theatre, and community development. The program aims to use artistic practices to increase empowerment, civic participation, and community resilience in areas facing environmental pressures.

The two-day event will feature theoretical sessions and practical workshops. Topics include territorial resources and fragility, as well as the promotion of health and environmental justice at the community level. The initiative is part of the ACT EJUSTICE interdisciplinary research project funded by Fondazione Cariplo.
