CrowdStrike and Adobe show strength in software and cybersecurity markets

CrowdStrike reported record second-quarter fiscal results, leading to an 11% jump in its stock price. The cybersecurity firm generated $1.17 billion in revenue, a 26% increase year-over-year. The company returned to profitability with a net income of $5.3 million, compared to a net loss in the previous year. Growth was driven by increased demand for security infrastructure following advancements in artificial intelligence, such as Anthropic’s Mythos model. CrowdStrike also raised its full-year revenue guidance to between $5.99 billion and $6.01 billion.

In a broader comparison of software giants, Adobe continues to maintain dominance in the creative sector. Adobe reported annual revenue of nearly $23.8 billion for its fiscal year ending November 2025, representing approximately 10.5% growth. The company maintains a healthy net margin of roughly 30% and reported free cash flow of nearly $9.9 billion. Both companies utilize subscription-based models to secure market positions, though they serve different sectors: Adobe in creative and productivity software, and CrowdStrike in cloud-native cybersecurity.
