CrowdStrike insiders sell stock as Morgan Stanley adjusts utility targets

CrowdStrike executives George Kurtz and Cary Davis have sold significant portions of their company stock following a period of substantial price increases. Kurtz sold approximately $4.8 million worth of shares, while Davis sold $7.37 million. These transactions were conducted under a 10b5-1 trading plan established in January to prevent conflicts of interest. The sales occurred as the stock approached its 52-week high, following a rally that saw the share price increase by over 100 percent year-to-date.

In separate news, Morgan Stanley has lowered its price target for American Electric Power from $135 to $128. Despite this reduction, the bank maintains an ‘overweight’ rating for the utility company. The adjustment is part of a broader sector-wide revaluation of North American regulated and diversified utilities and independent power producers, rather than a reflection of company-specific issues. The bank cited changing market conditions and mixed electricity term prices as primary drivers for the sector-wide update.
