Salesforce and CrowdStrike report strong growth driven by AI demand

Salesforce and CrowdStrike reported strong fiscal second-quarter results, driven by surging demand for artificial intelligence and data solutions.

Salesforce reported revenue of $11.35 billion, an 11% increase year-over-year, and adjusted earnings per share of $5.90. The company's performance was bolstered by a $2.6 billion gain from its strategic investment in AI startup Anthropic. Salesforce also announced 'Claudeforce,' an expanded partnership with Anthropic that integrates the Claude AI model into Salesforce platforms like Slack and Agentforce. Agentforce annual recurring revenue (ARR) exceeded $1.5 billion, representing a 240% increase year-over-year. Consequently, Salesforce raised its full-year revenue outlook to between $46.1 billion and $46.4 billion.

CrowdStrike reported a 26% year-over-year revenue increase to $1.47 billion. The company's total ending ARR reached $5.84 billion, a 25% increase. CrowdStrike highlighted the rapid adoption of its Falcon Flex service, which saw ARR from such accounts grow 101% to $2.29 billion. CEO George Kurtz noted that the rise of AI-driven attacks is creating a significant market opportunity for advanced cybersecurity tools.
