Crown appeals acquittal of Nova Scotia RCMP officer
The Crown is appealing the acquittal of a Nova Scotia RCMP officer, William McNutt, on sexual assault charges. The prosecution argues that the presiding judge misapprehended certain facts and improperly applied the law during the trial.
McNutt, a former professional basketball player in Europe who joined the RCMP in 2021, was charged with the sexual assault of three women.
