Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026 to expand media and 4K broadcasting
The 2026 Crown Prince Camel Festival in Saudi Arabia is implementing significant technological and media upgrades to support its status as a major heritage sporting event. With total prizes exceeding 50 million riyals, the festival is expanding its media capabilities to accommodate over 300 local, regional, and international media professionals.
The media center, spanning 600 square meters, features high-speed digital infrastructure and a dedicated ‘mix zone’ for rapid interviews. Competitions will be broadcast in 4K ultra-high definition through strategic partnerships with Gulf and Arab satellite and digital platforms, reaching audiences across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Africa.
The Saudi Camel Federation has also launched an intelligent interactive system for real-time digital updates, providing live results, tactical video clips, and precise timing data for camels crossing the finish line. The technical production involves over 30 fixed and mobile cameras managed by approximately 100 technicians, supporting eight hours of daily broadcasting, including live race coverage and specialized programs.
