Crown Prince Christian of Denmark celebrates 21st birthday

Crown Prince Christian of Denmark celebrated his 21st birthday with the release of new official portraits taken at Amalienborg Palace. In the images, the future king is seen wearing the gala uniform of the Royal Life Guards for the first time.

As a birthday gift, King Frederik awarded Christian the Grand Commander's Cross of the Order of the Dannebrog, an honor reserved for princes and royal persons. The portraits also feature the Prince Henrik Memorial Medal, which was awarded by former Queen Margrethe to family members and staff who supported her during her illness and following the death of Prince Henrik in 2018.
