Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden to visit Indonesia for UNDP mission

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden will visit Indonesia from September 4 to 8, 2026, in her role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The visit aims to highlight UNDP’s partnerships with the Indonesian government regarding sustainable development, climate action, biodiversity conservation, digital transformation, and inclusive economic growth.

In Jakarta, the Crown Princess is scheduled to meet with government officials, private sector representatives, young leaders, and UN officials to discuss how innovation and blended finance can accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The itinerary also includes a trip to East Nusa Tenggara to engage with communities focused on preserving natural heritage through ecotourism and nature-based development.

UNDP Administrator Alexander De Croo noted that Indonesia possesses various local, innovative solutions to development challenges, stating that the visit provides an opportunity to witness these advancements firsthand and demonstrate how local actions contribute to global progress.
