Croydon police investigate unexplained death of Nicole Beling
The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of 60-year-old Nicole Beling, who was found dead at her home in Dittoncroft Close, Croydon, on July 17.
The discovery was made after a family member reported Ms. Beling missing, leading authorities to classify her as a high-risk missing person. Specialist detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the inquiry.
A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and later released under investigation. He was rearrested on August 1 and has since been released on bail. Despite the arrests, detectives stated that "a formal murder investigation has not been launched at this time," as they are awaiting results from tests to establish an official cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell stated that police are keeping an "open mind as to the circumstances surrounding Nicole’s sad death" and are urging anyone with information to contact the authorities.
