CRRC unveils new rail and wind energy technologies

CRRC Corporation Limited has unveiled new technological advancements in rail and renewable energy at major international exhibitions. At InnoTrans 2026, the company debuted three full-size vehicles: a digital-intelligent metro train utilizing embodied AI for real-time track monitoring, a 2,000 kW hydrogen fuel-cell hybrid locomotive, and an intelligent flat wagon. The metro train features lightweight materials that reduce vehicle weight by 18% and energy consumption by over 10%.

Simultaneously, at WindEnergy Hamburg, CRRC showcased its wind power portfolio and clean energy solutions. The company announced it has received type certification from TÜV SÜD for its 7.15 MW D195 wind turbine and entered into an expanded technical collaboration with X1 Wind. CRRC currently operates more than 20 wind turbine manufacturing facilities serving approximately 400 wind farms globally, with active projects in markets including Germany, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.
