CRUES calls for student protests in Montreal and Quebec City

The Coalition de résistance pour l’unité étudiante syndicale (CRUES), alongside various student associations, has called for demonstrations in Montreal and Quebec City on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Protesters aim to denounce what they describe as an electoral circus and years of austerity in the education sector. The movement also seeks to highlight the deteriorating living and studying conditions faced by the student population. The demonstrations are scheduled to take place at Parc Lafontaine in Montreal and the Jeanne-d’Arc garden on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City.
