Cruise industry sees long-term booking trends and luxury upgrades

The cruise industry is experiencing a shift in consumer behavior, with travelers increasingly booking trips years in advance. Recent data for 2027 shows that passengers are willing to commit high budgets long before their travel dates, moving away from traditional last-minute deals toward a model based on the anticipation of future experiences.

In line with evolving luxury standards, the Crystal Serenity will undergo upgrades during its 2028 dry dock. The ship will introduce a new Crystal Owner’s Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites on deck 11. Designed by naval architect Paolo Piccione, the Owner’s Suite will feature 161 square meters of space, a 38-square-meter terrace, two bedrooms, and high-end amenities including marble bathrooms, a jacuzzi, and advanced Hi-Fi entertainment systems.
