Cruise lines expand Asia-Pacific operations for 2027-2029 seasons

Major cruise lines are expanding their presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Royal Caribbean has announced its 2027-2028 season, featuring the Voyager of the Seas. The vessel will operate itineraries ranging from two to 15 nights, departing from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The regional fleet will also include the Navigator of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, and Spectrum of the Seas.

Separately, Princess Cruises has announced it will double its New Zealand sailings for the 2028/29 season. This expansion aims to bolster the local cruise industry following a significant decline in cruise tourists over the last two years. The move is expected to make Princess Cruises the top operator in New Zealand, with plans to visit nine different ports, including Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.
