Cruise passenger activity grows in Panama and Cadiz

Cruise passenger activity has shown significant growth in both Panama and the Port of Cadiz during the first seven months of the year.

In Panama, the National Port System reported a 21.6% increase in cruise passenger movement, totaling 488,567 passengers. This represents an addition of 86,959 passengers compared to the same period in the previous year. Cruise arrivals also rose by 20.1%, with 143 arrivals recorded compared to 119 in the prior year. Additionally, transit passengers increased by 10.2%, and the number of crew members grew by 20.2%.

The Port of Cadiz in Spain reported a 10.59% increase in cruise traffic, with more than 331,000 passengers recorded through July. This growth is part of a broader positive trend for the port, which also saw total goods movement reach 3,304,885 tons. The increase in cruise traffic is noted for its economic impact on local sectors such as transport, dining, and commerce.
