Cruise ships bring thousands of tourists to Marmaris and Alanya

Cruise tourism continues to drive activity in Turkish Mediterranean ports, with major vessels docking in Marmaris and Alanya.

The Panama-flagged MSC Divina arrived at Marmaris Port carrying 3,893 passengers and 1,288 crew members. Most passengers originated from European countries and visited local landmarks such as the Marmaris Bazaar, Kaleiçi neighborhood, and the Yacht Harbor. Some travelers also took excursions to the Kaunos Ancient City in Dalyan. The ship is scheduled to head to Naples, Italy, next.

In Alanya, the Malta-flagged Marella Discovery docked with approximately 2,500 people on board, including 1,765 tourists and 735 crew. A significant portion of the passengers are British nationals. Visitors engaged in local sightseeing and safari tours before the ship continues its Mediterranean route toward Limassol, Cyprus. The proximity of Alanya's port to the city center provides direct economic benefits to local restaurants, shops, and transport services.
