Cruise ships out of service gather in Greece and China

Several ocean cruise ships are currently out of service, with many concentrated in Greece and China. Despite a generally positive development in the cruise markets of Europe and North America, various vessels remain inactive for diverse reasons.

In China, ships such as the Blue Dream Melody (formerly AIDAvita) in Beihai, the Blue Dream Star in Zhoushan, and the Chinese Taishan (formerly Costa Voyager) near Dalian are currently idle. Additionally, the Piano Land is anchored near Hong Kong.

In Greece, several vessels are out of service, including the Aegean Majesty in Aigio, the Majesty of the Oceans and the mv Minerva in the Bay of Elefsina, and the Queen of the Oceans in Astakos. The exact reasons for the continued inactivity of these specific ships are not always detailed.
