Cruise tourism forecasts show varying trends for Puerto Plata and Cádiz in November 2026
Cruise tourism projections for November 2026 indicate different trends for the destinations of Puerto Plata and Cádiz.
In Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, 60 cruise calls are expected in November 2026, a slight decrease from the 62 calls recorded in the same period in 2025. While the Amber Cove terminal is projected to increase operations from 23 to 26 calls, the Taíno Bay terminal is expected to see a decrease from 39 to 34 calls. Local stakeholders have called for increased competitiveness to maintain the economic benefits provided by the industry to local merchants and service providers.
In Cádiz, Spain, the port expects to receive approximately 72,000 cruise passengers in November, potentially surpassing the 63,000 tourists recorded in November 2025. Although the number of scheduled calls is expected to decrease from 43 last year to 37 this year, the port is seeing a rise in premium luxury vessel arrivals. Data shows that between January and September 2026, the port had already received 217 calls, representing a 6.17% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
