Crumbl Cookies closes 57 locations amid declining sales

Gourmet cookie franchise Crumbl Cookies has confirmed the closure of approximately 57 locations nationwide this year. Reports indicate that additional closures may be forthcoming, as roughly 55 franchises have been listed for sale.

Industry reports suggest a significant decline in performance, with some data indicating sales dropped by as much as 70% in August compared to two years ago. Analysts attribute these challenges to tightening household budgets and the increasing use of GLP-1 medications, which may be altering consumer appetite for sweets. Additionally, the company’s attempt to capitalize on the ‘Dirty Soda’ trend reportedly failed to generate expected revenue.

While closures are impacting various regions, there are currently no documented plans to shutter existing locations in Louisiana. In Michigan, locations in Kalamazoo, Holland, and Grand Rapids remain listed in the official store directory.
